Cenoz and Gorter (2021) defines Pedagogical Translanguaging (PT) as a theoretical and instructional approach that aims at enhancing language and content competencies in school contexts by mobilizing resources from the learner’s whole communicative repertoire. In this seminar, I discuss how PT can be applied in content-based language education classes with the Multimodalities-Entextualization Cycle (MEC) as a lesson planning tool, and how it can be valuable for leveraging on students' existing knowledge and linguistic resources while expanding students' communicative repertoires.
