Christian Blyt
Christian Blyt is an international award-winning designer, Associate Professor in Industrial Design and Director of the Wood Innovation Centre at Emily Carr University, and a Visiting Professor at Design and Innovation at Tongji University and Guangdong University of Technology. Educated in Vancouver, Copenhagen, and Toronto before completing his MA in Interior Architecture and Furniture Design from Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland, where he presented Corelam, the first of its kind corrugated plywood as his master thesis, which he then patented and commercialized. His work encompasses a wide range of international experiences in different education, design and manufacturing segments. He is also the founder and creative director of Studio Corelam, a new kind of research, design, and manufacturing studio located in Vancouver, Canada and Shanghai, China.
