内容提要
This lecture is devoted to the concepts of “applied anthropology” and “engaged anthropology,” and examines the ethical dilemmas of both. Anthropologists increasingly play a role in development, yet they have severe misgivings about its potential for harm as well as good. What should their role actually be, and how can they best perform it?
