Part 1 Lecture – Global Britain Post Brexit

Lecturer: Dr Simon Lightfoot – Pro Dean for Student Education within the Faculty of Education, Social Sciences and Law, Senior Lecturer within the School of Politics and International Studies.
Introduction:
The decision by the British people on 23rd June 2016 to vote to leave the EU heralds the biggest change to the UK's relationships with the rest of the world for a generation. This lecture reviews the factors that led to both the decision to hold a referendum and the decision to leave the EU before outlining how leaving the EU will impact upon the UK's relationships with other global partners in terms of trade, foreign policy and in particular development aid. The talk will identify different scenarios for the future of the UK's relationships with countries in the developing world whilst also exploring the implications for UK domestic politics.

Time: 4.30 –
Introduction:
To provide on-spot offer interviews for your students who are interested in studying their masters with our School of Politics and International Studies or our School of Sociology and Social Policy. The interview will be conducted in English by my colleague Simon and I will be accommpany him throughout the event. Candidates who wish to join this interview at office should bring a hardcopy of their up-to-date transcripts in English. If they have got their IELTS results available, they can also bring them to the interview. Students successfully passed the interview will be able to have an offer on the spot.
