口译任务对学员的语言能力和认知能力要求高,因此口译训练可能会给学员带来一些语言能力之外的变化。文献中已有少数研究涉及这方面的问题,主要包括工作记忆的变化,认知控制能力的变化等。但这些研究基本都是横向的比较研究,相关影响因素控制不够,因此研究结果很不一致。我们从动态系统角度系统地研究口译学员的发展轨迹,这是一系列的纵向研究,研究问题包括:1)有哪些因素决定了学员后期口译能力的发展?也就是说,同一个班的学员,是什么决定了同样努力的学生最后口译能力的差异?2)与口译能力相关的因素本身如何发展?这方面包括工作记忆、认知控制能力等。3)口译能力本身的发展和口译能力各相关因素之间有什么动态的关系?这些理论性的研究对口译教学有参考性价值。
