Golge CITAK SEFEROGLU is a professor and the coordinator of the MA in TESOL program at CSUSB. She holds MA, EdM, and EdD degrees from Teachers College, Columbia University in TESOL and Applied Linguistics. Before joining CSUSB, Dr. Golge CITAK SEFEROGLU worked as a professor at Middle East Technical University in Turkey for 23 years and trained thousands of teachers and supervised 44 MA and PhD thesis in TESOL and Applied Linguistics. She served as external examiner on hundreds of master’s and doctoral dissertation committees widely. Dr. Golge CITAK SEFEROGLU has directed many research projects and has been published in respected journals and has been cited extensively. She has delivered numerous invited keynote speeches at prestigious international research conferences. Her recent research interests include teacher identity and social justice in language education. Dr. Golge CITAK SEFEROGLU received many outstanding academic performance awards and was chosen as one of the 80 inspiring women in Turkey in the British Council’s 80 Years, 80 Women, 80 Stories. Most recently, she received the "2022-23 Outstanding Faculty Award" for Outstanding Research, Scholarly, and Creative Contribution at CSUSB.
